Senior Ministries

St Barnabas Church Stoke supports our Senior Parishioners through the programmes shown below.

Tea, Cake & Conversation

Tea, Cake and Conversation is a social group that meets in the Church Foyer between 2.00pm and 4.00pm every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.

There is usually a theme and activities or guest speakers provide helpful information and discussion topics for the group to participate in, such as food, quizzes, books or activities to stimulate the body, mind and soul.

We have found that as Parishioners, we create bonds, gain strength in one another and have some quality time together.

Tea is served in fine china along with delicious sandwiches and baking which helps bring a sense of occasion.

Wednesday Reflective Service

Each Wednesday at 10.30am, we hold a mid-week Reflective Service. This is a further opportunity for spiritual growth (especially for those for those who find it difficult to attend the Sunday Services).

Communion is celebrated and after the Service, Linda and Peter, host a time of fellowship and a delicious morning tea.

While mainly aimed at our Senior congregation ALL are welcome and we encourage people to invite family and friends along.

Pastoral Care

St Barnabas offers Pastoral Care Visits. Pastoral visits can be for various reasons but are a key way for us to support our parishioners who are unable to attend church but want to discuss their support needs, spiritual needs or require prayer for healing.

Visits can be arranged through our admin office - contact details below.
