Courses
We run a range of different courses each year. The Marriage Course and Alpha Course are our most regular courses and are run according to demand during the year. St Barnabas also hosts other special interest meetings, courses and seminars from time to time throughout the year.
Alpha
Alpha is a free 6 week course and an opportunity for anyone to discover more about the Christian faith, over a free meal and in a relaxed setting.
More than 200,000 people in New Zealand and millions worldwide have attended Alpha and enjoyed exploring life, faith and meaning.
Topics include:
· Who is Jesus?
· Why did he die?
· How can I have faith?
· Why and how should I read the Bible?
· How do I make the most of my life?

Discovery
The Discovery Course is an evening with a short Ted Talk style talk about the impact Jesus has made in people’s lives. We will hear different people tell about their discovery of who Jesus is, how Jesus changed their lives and the difference it has made.
The Discovery Course is a safe and non-judgmental place to explore questions of faith. This is a space where you can bring friends, family, and work mates to discover Jesus. Dinner will be provided free of charge.
